I loved the book!
Sixteen-year-old, Skyla Messenger is a dead girl walking.

When her newly remarried mother moves the family to Paragon Island, to a house that is rumored to be haunted, Skyla finds refuge in Logan Oliver, a boy who shares her unique ability to read minds.

Skyla discovers Logan holds the answers to the questions she’s been looking for, but Logan’s reluctance to give her the knowledge she desires leaves her believing Logan has a few secrets of his own.

Skyla’s bloodlines may just be connected to the most powerful angelic beings that roam the earth, and the more she knows, the more danger she seems to be in.

Suddenly an entire faction of earthbound angels wants her dead, at least she still has Logan, or does she?

After reading reviews of this series, I was a little skeptical on how good this book was actually going to be. I personally loved it. I blew through the first three books and now I have to wait until pay to get the next ones. (ugh!)

The book starts with the main character, Skyla, is moving with her newly remade family to Paragon Island. When she gets there one of the first things she finds out is about a girl being murder. A girl that lived in the house they just bought and stayed in her new bedroom.

She also meet the Oliver brothers, who by accident, she finds out holds information about her ability to read minds.

The story unfolds quickly and the book ends in a cliffhanger. I couldn't put it down and I went straight into the next one because I couldn't stand not knowing what happened.

Maybe the writing isn't the best, but it's a great story with great characters. The world, Addison Moore has created for us, is very easy to far into.

If you start this series. Be prepared. You'll not want to stop with just the first book!
