Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

 4/5

I am exploring into the genre of New Adult, and I must say if the books are like this one, I am going to love this new genre!

The plot is something I will not soon forget. It is so full of ups and downs. Moments that make you smile and others that make you want to scream in frustration. It is not a typical romance novel that does nothing more then tell a love story. It is fully developed and thought out. There are layers and depth and grit.

The main character is Avery. She picks a college far from home to run from her past and her demons. Little does she know or want, her past catches up to her. She is a character who has to learn to deal and heal from her past and the events that caused her so much pain. She has to learn to let others in, and not to be afraid to be who she is. She is a remarkable character and to me a very strong young woman. She overcomes so much in this book and she does it in a very realistic way. Jennifer Armentrout created Avery in a way where you feel her pain and forget that she is just a character of fiction.

Cam. He is my new favorite book lover! ;) He is such a surprise and there is so much more to him then what I expected from the beginning.  We find out his past and troubles throughout the book and no he is not a perfect man or is he a "bad boy." He is himself. I love the humor, and how his character carries himself in everyway. To me, this is one of the fiction boyfriends we like to dream about. (Don't tell my husband ;) )

I loved this book. I thought it had depth and a great plot that made it more then just a NA romance. There is a lot to be found within the pages of this one. I highly recommend this to any romantic out there. It hooks you in quick so make sure you don't have to be anywhere for a while once you start! ;)

I totally agree with you on Cam not being a bad boy or a total saint. He's just Cam, and that's why we love him.
You got it spot on!
