For almost two years now, Kiera's boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she's ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.

Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source—a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he's purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes...and none of them will ever be the same.

I read this because I was curious as to the character, Kellan. He jut won the NA crush tourney so it sparked my interest as to why he was so popular, and boy do I understand now! I was entertained through out the entire book, and I did end up liking it. However 3.5 is all I can give it, and that is mainly for Kellan Kyle.

First off, our main character, Kiera. I tried so hard to like her, and I mostly do, but she also annoyed the crap out of me. The entire book she goes back and forth between her boyfriend and Kyle. The incisiveness got old really quick. Then she is sleeping with both guys simultaneously! Which is not only gross but slutty on her part. To top it all off, she just cries, strings both guys along, and then she is just cries some more. She has a great personality and would be a lot more likable if this crap was just cut in half. So I did like her, but the annoyance factor ended up greater then my enjoying her character.

The other thing that got to me is the repetitive writing. There was always 3 things happening in every convo. 1. chuckling 2. half smiling 3. blushing. Over and over he chuckled and half smiled and then she blushed. These aren't the only repetitive things through out the book either. It was just another thing that made my annoyance rise with the book.

I also despise love triangles so that killed it a lot too, because the love triangle took the entire length of the book to work itself out!

Kellan Kyle is an amazing character. He is just beyond sexy and makes you give off a sigh when reading. He is smart, witty, charming, and just how he talks and acts in general... you can't walk away without a new book crush. He makes and saves the book.

Looking past what annoyed me, the story is not bad as a whole. I would recommend this book to others just so they could experience Kellan themselves. He is worth it!
